You could call me a desktop publishing machine. I am a career newspaper/magazine copy editor and designer, as well as a freelance copy editor for a regional lifestyle magazine, and a freelance designer for a few non-media clients. My years of newspaper experience means I can do it all and do it efficiently, accurately and on a fairly tight deadline. Nothing phases me. In addition, I am an occasional travel writer and blogger.

As the son of a shrink, my childhood was full of self-examination, which seems excruciating for most people, but helped me to be a good communicator and goaded my interest in the persuasive power of the written word. I balance jobs in both cross-platform copy writing for high-profile entertainment, luxury and womens' retail clients and also as a journalist who contributes articles and essays on contemporary art, architecture, urban planning and travel for The New York Times, GOOD, Monocle, The Advocate, Out, Purple and Next American City, among many other publications. I also possess significant experience as a Managing Editor for contemporary art books and publications.
